What is the Digital Donation Solution?
The Digital Donation Solution is a patent-pending technology that enables Donate My Card to extract amounts you wish to donate (up to the amount left on your pre-paid gift or debit card) for donation to a partner charity.

Are Donate My Card transactions safe and secure?
Yes. Donate My Card uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to encrypt all data submitted to and from our site over the web. SSL renders donors' personal information, including credit card numbers, virtually unreadable to anyone who intercepts it. SSL is supported by all major browsers, including Microsoft Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari and Google Chrome.

Is my name kept confidential?
Yes. Donate My Card never sells, trades or rents donor information, and our site has security measures to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of donor and donation data.

What pre-paid debit and gift cards can I use to give through Donate My Card?
Donate My Card is currently accepting donations utilizing pre-paid VISA®, MasterCard®, American Express® and Discover® debit and gift cards. We expect to be able to accept retail gift cards in the near future. Sign up to receive our electronic newsletter for updates.

What is Donate My Card's relationship with the non-profits?
Donate My Card is a registered, commercial fundraising organization. We are contracted by our partner charities to collect donations from pre-paid debit and gift cards on their behalf.

How are the funds distributed to non-profits?
Donations are processed immediately and held in a special trust account set up solely to hold and disperse these funds. Funds are dispersed to the specific charity within 30 days or sooner from receipt or as required by individual state laws.

Does all the money go to charity?
Donate My Card charges transaction fees of 20% out of funds over $10.00 and 30% out of funds under $10.00 collected. Fees offset handling, processing, technology, administrative and other costs required to collect and disperse these funds.

Can Donate My Card process donations from international donors?
Donate My Card is currently processing pre-paid gift and debit cards in U.S. currency only from U.S. IP addresses only.

Will I receive a receipt of my donation?
When a contribution is made, a thank-you letter is automatically emailed to the donor, acknowledging the amount and charity the donation went to.
